Matthew 18:21-22 Then Peter came up and said to him, “Lord how often will my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? As many as seven times?” Jesus said to him, “I do not say to you seven times, but seventy-seven times.”
It was an exciting day for Lucia. Lucia’s bike broke a few days ago and we were finally able to get it to the bike store (Weltrad) today, only to find out it was not fixable, so Güran, the owner and a friend of René and Susi, at Weltrad was extremely generous and loaned her a brand new bike to use during the rest of our time here. I am again amazed and awed at the kindness and generosity of the people of Schönebeck. Lucia was so excited about her bike that while Johannes was walking outside the church she grabbed him to show off her new bike. She then proceeded to ride her bike around the church for about an hour while we waited for Anjali and David to get home from school.
As Lucia rode her bike around the church Jeff and I stood outside talking with Johannes and decided that we should all four play cards tomorrow evening after the kids went to bed!
We also got to enjoy the company of René tonight, as he came over for an “after dinner drink”, which as it usually does, turns into many more than 1 and doesn’t usually end until close to midnight. But I wouldn’t change that for a minute. I love these evening conversations and drinks—we always have so much fun.
