2 Corinthians 12:9-10 But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me. For the sake of Christ, then, I am content with weakness, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities. For when I am weak, the I am strong.

Today there really wasn’t much that happened. We all went to school and work. Things in my classroom are going pretty well. Ines and I are able to laugh and communicate a bit better, albeit with Google Translate—but I am not picky. It is really fun to have a conversation with someone at the school. My work with my student is going pretty well too. It was pretty funny because today he was giving me a real hard time about my helping him, so Ines had me not help him today, but rather another student who could also use my help. This seemed to really get under his skin and he made it very obvious that he wanted me to come back and help him. So for the last part of the day, I actually helped both boys and it was really great.

Jeff’s work at the wall has been going really well. He actually has made a lot of progress on the wall and he really seems to enjoy the work, even though it is repetitive and exhausting. We also learned how much of a help this is to the church and how much money he is able to save the church by doing this work. We are so grateful for the opportunity to be able to be so helpful to the church.

Our time here in Germany has been so wonderful and I am so grateful for the people around us. There have been so many times that these people have lifted us up and helped us. Most recently was the struggle that we had figuring out the Visa’s for Thailand and India. We were not able to get ahold of anyone at the consulates in the US, and when we called them in Germany, they didn’t speak English. We were getting the run around at every turn, and all our friends here in Germany were so quick to lend a helping hand.
