Today we went to church and then we went for a walk around town by the Elbe River
Then we went home to prepare our Mexican dinner for our wonderful friends here. Now our dinner included some homemade tortillas, chicken, peppers, onions, Baja sauce (which is cream cheese, sour cream and jalapeños), guacamole, salsa, and black beans (that weren’t the black beans we thought they would be). All this good food was topped off with Coronas and Margaritas with fresh lime juice and Tres Leches Cake. Everyone seemed to enjoy the food and the for sure we all enjoyed the conversation and the laughter. It was a wonderful night with wonderful friends.
This dinner made me remember home and the good Mexican food and miss home. Thankfully I was surrounded by good friends to keep the homesickness at bay.
