2 Kings 2:2 And Elijah said to Elisha, “Please stay here, for the Lord has sent me as far as Bethel.: But Elisha said, “As the Lord live, and as you yourself live, I will not leave you.” So they went down to Bethel.

Today we were out the door pretty early to see the city. I started with a morning run with Suzanne and Jenny through a beautiful park. Then after showers and some breakfast he headed out to the Notre Dame and the Eiffel Tower, as well as a boat cruise to see the city. The whole day was perfect watching Anjali and Nadia absolutely connected at the hip. They were both so incredibly happy and content to be together. This meant a lot to both of them. Here are a ton of pictures of our day today.

My morning run through Paris with these beautiful ladies

We needed the day with an adult dinner, as we left the kids back at the apartment with their own dinner. It was really wonderful to spend an evening with these amazing people.

I want to explain to Anjali how even when we can’t be with our best friends all the time, that does not diminish the friendship, it just changes it until again you can be together. Anjali and Nadia’s friendship is strong enough to have this time apart, they have a connection on a very deep level and the distance is not going to diminish this; I just need to find a way to teach this to her and to show it to her. I know that this weekend should be a great example, since they have not seen each other for over a month (which they have never gone that long apart), but I think the true testament will be when we return and they are able to spend that time together, and hopefully everything will be as it was when we left. I know that I have wonderful friends where our relationship is just like this, we rarely see each other and some that I rarely even get to talk to because the distance between us is so great, but our friendship never misses a beat, we always pick up right where we left it. But this is not an easy thing to teach an 11 yr old, it requires trust and faith in God and your relationship. I just pray that I can convey these things to her.
