Romans 4:13 For the promise to Abraham and his offspring that he would be heir of the world did not come through the law but through the righteousness of faith.
Today was day 2 of school for Anjali and David. Anjali rode her bike with Saskia to school and the plan is for her to do this every day, which is wonderful because she doesn’t want to be seen with either Jeff or I. David seems to have adjusted to school and was actually excited to go today. He said that all the kids were so interested in him and that everyone wanted to play with him and/or talk with him. I am amazed at how independent and strong my children are, even in a different country where they don’t understand or speak the language. What they are doing is quite difficult and they are doing with so much grace and strength I am in awe. My children may not have heard this call from God to spend this year abroad in service of others, but they are taking on the challenges before them with faith and trust. My prayers will continue that they feel God’s presence with them at all times, during the easy and fun times and the challenging and difficult times. I pray that they know that He will always be with them and that He will guide them through everything, as long as they trust in His way and listen for His words. God showed us this today with a beautiful double rainbow outside our apartment.
